the first test of a great man is humility (Ruskin; Jensen)

I resonate to the English author John Ruskin’s memorable statement that “the first test of a truly great man is his humility.” He continued: “I do not mean, by humility, doubt of his own power. … [But really] great men … have a curious … feeling that … greatness is not in them, but through them. … And they see something Divine … in every other man … , and are endlessly, foolishly, incredibly merciful.” Elder Marlin K. infinite attention (C.S. Lewis)

by faith all things are fulfilled (Ether 12:3-4)

... by   faith  all things are fulfilled— Wherefore, whoso believeth in God might with   surety   hope   for a better world, yea, even a place at the right hand of God, which   hope   cometh of   faith , maketh an   anchor   to the souls of men, which would make them sure and steadfast, always abounding in   good works , being led to   glorify   God. Ether 12:3-4
